San Ramon to teach residents how to make soap

Those who are interested in learning how to make their own soap can attend a course held at Bishop Ranch in San Ramon, California this August.

The Soap Making 101 course is a lesson that will teach attendees how to create soaps using the melt and pour method. All ingredients that are provided in the workshop are local and organic, and soaps will be colored with the help of various clays instead of artificial dyes. Guests will be given a gift for attending, and refreshments will be served. The course will be presented by Cristal Chen, who is the founder of SweetBloomsCo. Her work has been featured in newspapers throughout Silicon Valley, and she has also taught at the San Diego State University. Chen has been a studio artist for 15 years whose goal is to have her work be a social platform that brings people together. She also hosts other artistic events, such as teaching how to make a living terrarium.

The Soap Making 101 course will be held on Saturday, August 31st from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Only those who are aged 16 or older can participate in the workshop. Admission into the class will cost $100 per person. Sales will conclude on August 30th.
