San Ramon to celebrate German traditions

The San Ramon Historic Foundation will be hosting Oktoberfest next month.

The event will feature four breweries: Morgan Territory Brewing, Danville Brewing Co., Canyon Lakes Brewing, and Altamont Beer Works. A German themed lunch will be available catered by Fat Maddie’s Grill. Tickets for lunch are $40 for adults and include four beer or wine tastings. Tickets for children between 11 and 20 years old are $30, and those 10 years of age and younger are $20. Tickets need to be purchased by Friday September 27.

Poster printing can be used to promote such events their fundraising efforts throughout a city and surrounding communities.

In the afternoon there will be entertainment by the Golden Gate Bavarian Dancers and the Olympia Fields Brass Band. Throughout the day there will be tractor rides and self-guided tours of the tractor barn and the Forest Home Farms Historic Park.

This is the Foundation’s annual fundraising event where all proceeds go to preserving and maintaining Forest Home Farms Historic Park. The park spans 16 acres. Ruth Boone bequeathed the park to the city in 1997 in honor of her husband, Travis Boone. On the site are the Glass Gouse which was built in 1877; the Boone House which was built in 1900; and 14 other barns and structures.

Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday October 5.
