News of such accomplishments is often spread throughout a school district with flyer printing.
The competition is for students in grades 6 through 12 and challenges them to create solutions driven by science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) for problems in the local area.
A prize package worth $2,500 will be given to each team and will consist of classroom resources and Samsung technology. The teams will move on to a state competition and could be named as winners, which will mean $12,000 in Samsung resources and products for their schools.
Superintendent of the San Ramon Unified School District, CJ Cammack, said that this achievement by the teachers and their student teams is remarkable. He expressed his pride in the educators for looking for:
“opportunities that challenge students to think critically and apply their knowledge in ways that promote meaningful solutions.”
He added that everyone will be cheering for them as they advance to the next phase of the competition.
The winners of the state competition will be announced late next month.
