Reading of Shakespeare to be performed in San Ramon

The Shakespeare & Performing Arts Regional Company of San Ramon will be presenting “Romance and Juliet” next month.

This will be a reading that promises to be an evening filled with poetic charm and rekindle the flames of tragedy and love. As a reading, the actors will have a script in hand and will create the characters without having to memorize the lines. It is not a complete theater production but more of a hybrid of performance where the prose is lightly staged to inspire people and spark their imaginations.

There will be a smattering of hand props, strategic costume pieces, and enough furniture needed to frame the story. The focus will be more on the prose and the voices that promise to still the soul and resonate with the audience. The performance is suitable for those 12 years of age and older. It is directed by Jennifer Le Blanc.

This will be held at the Front Row Theater in San Ramon. The price for a ticket is $35.00 and includes a complimentary ticket for concessions which can be used for a holiday snack, a non-alcoholic beverage, or a glass of wine.

Such unique performances often turn to poster printing to promote themselves throughout a city and surrounding communities.

This reading will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday February 15.
