New exhibit opens in San Ramon
The Lindsay Dirkx Brown Art Gallery in San Ramon is currently holding an exhibit called “Monochrome: Stories of Shadow and Light.”
This is a solo exhibit of photographs by Kenn Costanzo. The exhibit, which closes this month, explores the power of black and white photography to quieten the noise of everyday life and stir emotion.
On display are 22 images in which Costanzo shows that the most basic elements of light, shadow, geometry, and lines can convey thought-provoking and highly detailed stories. Each image invites viewers to reflect, pause, and experience what might be extraordinary in the ordinary images of life.
Such special exhibits can be promoted throughout a city and neighboring communities with poster printing.
Costanza is a fine art photographer from the Bay Area. Known for his images in black and white, His work has been recognized around the world in exhibitions and publications in Paris, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. In 2024, he was one of the top winners at the international Black & White Photo Contest, and this year he was an exhibiting artist in The Artists Gallery, a contemporary gallery in Los Angeles based in the historic Miracle Mile district.
The exhibit runs through Tuesday, September 30. The hours of the gallery, which is on Alcosta Boulevard, are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
