San Ramon will be holding the 40th anniversary of its Light Parade early next month.
This parade will be a birthday celebration of the city. All businesses, neighborhood groups, and families are invited to attend and come together to honor the city.
The parade will start on Camino Ramon at Bishop Ranch 7. It will then go south on Camino Ramon and the parade will end on Bishop Drive. The length of the parade is half a mile.
The parade will light the night with a birthday theme as well as illuminated floats, dancers, auto clubs, bands, and entertainment. Veterans, non-profit organizations, local businesses, marching bands, youth groups, and cultural performers are invited to join the parade and become part of the festivities. Local Print shops can also assist those interested in participating in the parade by providing Flyers with tips and tricks for building and lighting the floats.
Sponsorship packages are available, ranging from Friend of the City with a donation of $500 to an Illuminating Sponsor with a donation of $4,000. These enable the sponsor to use banner printing to use on their floats. Additional benefits depending on the level of donation include commemorative embroidered chairs, VIP parking spots, an exhibitor booth on the promenade, and special placement in the parade.
The parade will be held on Saturday, November 4 beginning at 6:30 pm.
