The Gurkha Kitchen, a Nepali Indian restaurant, is now open in San Ramon.
The new eatery is in the Diablo Valley Plaza on San Ramon Valley Boulevard. Its menu features a wide range of Indian foods such as tandoori meat, curries, and samosas, along with dishes from Nepal like noodles with Nepali sauces, stuffed dumplings, and a chicken salad in a barbecue Nepali style. Gurkha Kitchen also has a selection of pizzas, vegetarian dishes, and Indo-Chinese food. Food can be ordered online, and delivered and catering services are also available.
Flyer printing is often used to offer more details about such new restaurants, their specialties, and their services.
Gurkha Kitchen started in Sunnydale in 2019 and has since expanded to Hayward. The restaurant is also planning a location in San Jose.
Narayan Khana, owner of Gurkha Kitchen, said that the restaurant was a hit when it opened in Sunnydale. As the restaurant was looking to expand, he found that there was a large Nepali and Indian community in San Ramon, so the city became a priority for opening a new location. He added that there was no authentic Indo-Nepali restaurant in San Ramon, so opening one in the city made sense.
The hours for Gurkha Kitchen are Sunday through Thursday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
