Lost Frequencies, whose real name is Felix De Laet, took the stage name, which is also used when he records, from the idea that old songs are actually “lost frequencies.” He uses the older material for his remixes. He was successful almost from the beginning.
In 2014, he released “Are You with Me,” which was originally on an album by Easton Corbin. Lost Frequencies remixed it and watched it soar to the No. 1 spot on the Flemish charts, and then also going to No. 1 in Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Germany, and Australia. His skill created a lot of excitement about him and his works, and his 2015 release, “Reality,” was also a hit. Featuring Janieck Devy, the single topped the charts again, giving Lost Frequencies’ career additional momentum.
The artist has always liked music, but was not into remixing until he obtained a computer. His first efforts were jazz-influenced house tracks and trap beats, which were catchy enough for Armada Music to sign him. He released “Are You with Me” on the Armada label.
A concert review says:
“. . . the show was amazing. Highly recommend checking him out if he comes to your town.”
Lost Frequencies will be in San Francisco on October 6, appearing at the Regency Ballroom. Colorful publicity can draw people to events like this, and organizers can use poster printing to create it.
