Iconic band to appear in the City by the Bay

San Francisco will soon host one of music's most iconic bands – the Eagles.

In the 1970s, the Eagles were the bestselling of all American bands, and remain one of music's best-selling groups. The band formed in 1971, when they were playing backup for Linda Ronstadt, and released their debut album in 1972. “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” “Witchy Woman,” and “Take It Easy” all came from that album, and all landed on the Top 40 country chart.

The title track of their next album, “Desperado,” gave the Eagles one of their most popular songs. Written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley, it established a songwriting partnership between the two that is responsible for much of the band's later success.

In 1974, the Eagles released “On the Border,” which moved the band from country to rock, but their real breakthrough came the following year, when the song “Lyin' Eyes,” off their “One of These Nights” album, won them a Grammy. In 1976, they released one of the most iconic albums in rock, “Hotel California,” which became their best-selling work, with the title song winning the 1977 Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

One reviewer said:

“I’ve seen The Eagles before, but this time was EPIC! The orchestra added such an enriching element. . . . DO NOT MISS THIS CONCERT!”

As of the time of writing, The Eagles will be at the Chase Center on April 11, at 8:00 pm, but with many events currently being cancelled, it may be best to double check on its status. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for this type of event.
