Artist to turn San Francisco blue

An innovative blues guitarist is set to appear in San Francisco.

Joanne Shaw Taylor is originally from the English Midlands, where she was inspired by artists like Jimi Hendrix. She followed her dream and dropped “White Sugar,” her debut album, in 2009. The next year she released “Diamonds in the Dirt.” The albums were successful, both reaching No. 8 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums chart.

Taylor has won the “Best Female Vocalist” from the British Blues Awards twice, in 2010 and 2011. She also was acclaimed “Songwriter of the Year” for the single “Same as It Never Was.”

A high point for her was the Diamond Jubilee Concert in 2012, when she played lead guitar with Annie Lennox and her band. Her equipment malfunctioned slightly, giving her music a different sound, a “glitch” that turned golden when Stevie Wonder, who heard the concert, congratulated her on her great sound.

Taylor is currently touring to support her 2022 album “Nobody’s Fool.” Anyone who attends Taylor’s concert will hear new songs as well as a dive into her lengthy back catalog, which is now up to 11 albums. One review says:

“I love . . . Joanne Shaw Taylor . . . and her incredible guitar and bass skills . . ..”

Taylor will appear at the Palace of Fine Arts on April 5. To promote events like this, organizers can use poster printing to create advertising.
