Queen Nation pays tribute to one of rock's most innovative bands, Queen, and its legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury. Queen first got together in 1970 in London, and started making their mark in 1974, with “Sheer Heart Attack.” They followed up with “A Night at the Opera” in 1975, which included “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and made them international stars.
In 1977, they released “News of the World,” that featured two songs that have become anthems of the sports world: “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You.” At the time, they were one of the hottest stadium-rock groups performing. In their career, it is estimated Queen sold between 170 and 300 million records.
Queen Nation was founded in 2004, and pays homage to its namesake's vintage years. The group does more than perform Queen's hits, it aims to accurately present a Queen concert, including recreating the stage personas of the original artists. Among the songs on the tribute band's setlist are those mentioned above as well as “Under Pressure,” “another One Bites the Dust,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” and more.
A review of Queen Nation in concert says simply:
“Queen Nation rocked! Best cover band ever!”
Queen Nation will bring its Graceband show to the Music Box on November 27, at 9.00 pm, with the doors opening an hour earlier. Poster printing is a useful tool for advertising events like this.
