Four great bands to rock San Diego

Four bands are coming to San Diego to rock the place to its foundations.

Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Common Kings, and Don Carlos will be in town to liven things up. Slightly Stoopid's eight members have become a hugely popular summer festival attraction band, opening for acts like the Dave Matthews Band.

“Been seeing Slightly Stoopid for 12 years now and they just seem to get better every year.”

Pepper got together in 1996 in Hawaii, and later relocated to San Diego. The trio began to achieve mainstream success with their 2004 album “In with the Old.” Pepper was reportedly:

“. . . sooo good live! Amazing energy, great time and lots of fun.”

Common Kings, a reggae quartet that formed in Costa Mesa, earned a Grammy nomination for their first album, “Lost in Paradise.”

A Common Kings concert got this reaction:

“Common King’s [sic] are always consistently great. . . loved them.”

The final singer on the bill is reggae genius Don Carlos. Born in Jamaica, Don Carlos started his career in 1973, singing with the group Black Uhuru before going solo in 1978.

“Don Carlos is amazing . . . sounded great! I hope to have the energy he has when I get to be his age!”

The event is set for June 20, at 5.30 pm, at Petco Park. Flyer printing can help advertise events like this.
