Shake Shack and other restaurants to open in San Diego

San Diego foodies have a lot to look forward to, with several popular eateries opening or expanding operations in the city, according to an article from NBCSanDiego.com.

First on the list is Shake Shack, a chain of hamburger restaurants that have proven to be very popular, and which has been expanding on the West Coast. The company recently confirmed that it will open a location in University Town Center some time in 2017. Other San Diego locations are thought to be in the offing.

Harvest by the Patio is now open in East Village, a large neighborhood where Petco Park is located. The restaurant is under the umbrella of The Patio Group and features an all-day, healthy menu served at a downstairs counter. Upstairs, diners can choose from a number of seating options including lounge seats, communal tables, and a bar that serves seasonal cocktails.

North County residents can now enjoy Breakfast Republic, a breakfast restaurant known for its whimsical design and creative meals. There are Breakfast Republics already operating in San Diego, in the Liberty Station and North Park neighborhoods. The new Encinitas location has a bar, patio, and lots of room for diners to hang out and enjoy breakfast.
