Scottish rock in San Diego

A Scottish rock band named after fictional gangsters will appear for one performance in San Diego.

The band formed in Glasgow in 2005, and took the name “The Fratellis” from the inept family of crooks in the film “The Goonies.” They first performed in Glasgow that same year, and won a recording contract in 2006, releasing “The Fratellis,” the EP that marked their debut, at that time.

The band's full-length debut album was “Costello Music,” which contained the track “Henrietta.” The single, which they released before they dropped the album, made it to No. 19 on the Singles Chart in the UK. When “Costello Music” was released, it opened at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart.

In 2013, they released their third album, “We Need Medicine,” and toured successfully to support it. They appeared in the U.K., Russia, Europe, and the United States, and began to build a following throughout the world.

A review says:

“Despite having to drive in the rain and almost die the Fratellis were my first concert and they were unforgettable it was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done . . . if they ever come back . . . I will be the first one to buy a ticket.”

The Fratellis will appear at The Observatory in San Diego on January 17, 2021, at 7:00 pm. This concert has been rescheduled from an earlier date, and poster printing can provide exciting advertising for events like this.
