Hokali is a marketplace for the surfing community with a focus on connecting students with local surfing coaches who have been vetted. The organization wants to empower surfers to preserve and protect the ocean and local coasts, and ensure the sustainability of the marine environment. Hokali works with various non-profits, such as the Surfrider Foundation, to help conservation efforts.

Since it is concerned with the environment, it is not surprising Hokali wants to be involved in beach clean-up efforts.
