R&B and soul to swing in to San Diego

An artist celebrated for his velvety vocals and melodies is coming to the Music Box in San Diego.

Jeff Bernat was born in the Philippines and moved to Reno, Nevada, when he was a child. He began his musical career in Reno, but really broke through after he relocated to Los Angeles and released 2011’s “The Gentlemen Approach,” his debut album. The chart-topping single “Call You Mine” is on this album.

Bernat got a huge break when one of his songs was used on the soundtrack of the 2015 film “Birdman,” which won the Oscar for Best Picture. This triumph solidified Bernat’s reputation as an artist whose music crosses genres and boundaries.

Bernat has been a huge star in South Korea since he dropped his first album, but he achieved another milestone when he released “She Loves Me Not.” The EP is raw emotionally, and struck a chord with fans everywhere, particularly in Thailand and Indonesia, increasing his popularity throughout Asia.

Bernat’s work has been streamed internationally over one billion times. He released his latest EP, “Love, Jeffrey,” in 2024, and is touring in support of the effort. The EP made its debut in the Top 50 in the United States, and hit No. 1 in several countries.

Jeff Bernat will be at the Music Box on Wednesday, June 19. Organizers who plan events like this will often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
