Porter got together in Guadalajara in 2004 as part of Mexico’s indie scene. They have been honored with several nominations during their career, having been nominated for the Latin Grammy in the categories of Video of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year, as well as a nomination for Video of the Year for the MTV Millennial Awards. They were also considered for Best Live Act by Las Lunas del Auditorio.
Porter has performed in many Latin American countries such as Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico, as well as the USA, building a fan base. In 2018, they recorded the EP “Las Batallas del Tiempo,” and then performed at the Metropólitan Theater and sold out the venue. In 2019, they released the album “Las Batallas,” and toured to support it until the pandemic forced cancellations of almost all live events.
As the lockdown eased, Porter began creating material to enhance their growth as a band. Singles like “Sonámbulo” and “Ranchito” illustrated what was to come and were included on the album “La Historia Sin Fin,” released in 2022.
A review notes:
“Fans witnessed one of the most liked bands in Mexico looking to reclaim their status and being hugely successful.”
Porter will be at the Music Box on India Street on July 21 at 9:00 pm. When venues book performers like this, they can use poster printing to advertise the concert.
