Redding’s eco-concerned citizens will want to attend the upcoming 8th annual Whole Earth and Watershed Festival.
The event celebrates economic, social andenvironmental solutions for our community and our planet, and will be free to attend.
The Festival will feature more than 130 exhibitors, interactive activities for everybody, local artists, food, and live entertainment on two stages.
One stage will showcase Miracle Mile Records talent such as Marvin and Marcie Allen, the Jim Dyer Band, the Nick Ciampi Band, and Jonathan Foster. Intertribal Youth Council Dancers (accompanied by a fire dancer) and the Wicked Wahines will also grace the stage. The second stage will present the UPrep String Ensemble and Redding School of the Arts students.
The large tent will house ‘DIVE IN: Reimagining Our World One Idea at a Time’. This exhibit area will present the work of people who are reshaping and rethinking our world with ideas and creations that involve repurposed, upcycled or natural materials.
During the morning, the Shasta Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation will present a special program that will feature the likes of foxes, hawks, and owls. To celebrate the Arbor Week Celebration, the City of Redding Parks Department will have a booth at which residents can get free trees. No doubt informative literature will be available, perhaps keeping local Print companies busy.
The Festival is scheduled for April 25, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, at Redding’s Sculpture Park and City Hall 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding.Get a Free Quote for Print
