Treats in the Streets coming to Orange
Orange, California, will be the site of ‘Treats in the Streets Autumn Festival’, a city-wide celebration welcoming the fall season. Orange has been holding the annual festival for more than 20 years.
The event is free, and participants will be able to join a costume parade, enjoy the goodies local merchants will be handing out to trick-or-treaters, and play games suitable for all ages. Food and treats will be available for a small charge from Orange nonprofits.
Festival organizers have a few rules for participants to make the evening safe and fun. First, people going trick-or-treating need to bring their own bags or buckets, and parents are advised to make sure their children’s shoes are comfortable, since they will be walking all over Old Towne Orange collecting goodies.
They advise people to bring small amounts of cash to pay for drinks and food, and also to be aware it can get cool in the evenings, so everyone should bring a sweater or light jacket. Adults and parents are asked not to wear masks, and to leave pets home. Finally, parents should bring strollers for babies and toddlers.
Parking for the festival can be found on the streets of the neighborhood, or in city lots. Organizers might work with a poster printing company to create signs showing where attendees can find participating businesses.
Treats in the Streets is set for tomorrow, October 25, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Old Towne Orange Plaza.
