Orange to host pediatric first aid event
The EMSA Approved Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED class is set to be held in Orange next month.
The American Heart Association is in charge of this professional certification event. The class is designed for anyone in Orange who is in charge of childcare, such as parents, preschool teachers, childcare workers, daycare employees, and babysitters. Both students and individuals who are due for a renewed certificate in Pediatric First Aid are welcome to register for this blended online and in-person course. The hosts of similar professional events frequently include brochure printing in their organization plans so that students will be able to reference detailed printouts in preparation for the class.
Prior to the start of the main class, students must first complete an initial online course with the American Heart Association for $20 per individual. The course will take approximately four hours to complete.
For the one-hour, in-person class, registration costs $79 per individual. The class includes detailed instructions and practice on CPR for infants, children, and adults as well as how to help someone who is choking, dealing with asthma and anaphylaxis in children, automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, and pediatric first aid. Completion of the total course qualifies participants for American Heart Association certification, valid for two years.
This pediatric first aid event is scheduled to occur next Tuesday, February 2 at Heart CPR.
