Montebello is hosting a special event to welcome the holiday season.
The City of Montebello invites everyone to join in the Winter Wonderland celebration, a community event to be held at the Civic Center in Montebello’s heart. The celebration includes the official tree lighting ceremony that traditionally makes the start of the holiday season. Food vendors and artisans will be on hand with treats to enjoy and hand-crafted items that will allow attendees to get a start on their holiday shopping.
Live entertainment will be ongoing during the event, creating a cheerful ambiance for everyone to enjoy. Snow Slides will be constructed to give residents the experience of sledding on snow in the middle of a city in California.
The VIP of the event is Santa himself. The Jolly Old Elf will be happy to listen to attendees’ Christmas requests, and will be glad to take photos with everyone.
Organizers are still finalizing arrangements for the entertainers and craftspeople, and will shortly announce the locations of free parking and shuttle stops.
Winter Wonderland is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at the Civic Center, located at 1600 West Beverly Boulevard. There is no admission charge, and no tickets or registration are required. When such a festive event is planned, organizers could use banner printing to create cheerful seasonal decorations that can be used outdoors, and reused in future.
