Music, food, and fun in Montebello

An event taking place in Montebello next month will bring two popular bands to the city.

Fans should get ready to celebrate the holiday of love with the music of two iconic bands – Tierra and Soto. They will be on the same stage for a night of high-energy performances, soulful grooves, and classic hits. Tierra will offer love songs, funk, Latin soul, and R&B, while Soto will bring intense vocals.

Tierra first got together in 1972 in East Los Angeles, starting their career by mixing salsa, R&B, jazz, pop, and rock. The result of this blend turned out to be a Latin R&B sound and rhythm that created classics like “Zoot Suit Boogie,” “Memories,” “Gonna Find Her,” and “Together.”

Several leading magazines, including Billboard, called Tierra the “Best R&B Vocal Group,” and they were the first Latino band to put two songs in the Top 100 and four on the national charts simultaneously. They have performed in storied venues such as The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and Carnegie Hall.

The party is a Valentine’s Day Dance, and the venue is Montebello’s Quiet Cannon, 901 Via San Clemente. The date is February 14, and a VIP ticket package is available, which includes a buffet dinner. Performances like this benefit greatly when organizers use poster printing to create exciting advertisements to support them.
