Tribute to rock icons to appear near Montebello

A nod to one of the true legends of rock is coming to Stevens Steak & Seafood House in Commerce, a short distance from Montebello.

The restaurant is the venue for a performance by the Kings of Queen, a tribute band for one of rock’s most iconic groups, Queen. The tribute band’s frontman is Emo Alaeddin, who has been described as the reincarnation of Freddie Mercury.

Emo Alaeddin, the lead singer and frontman for the Kings of Queen, formed the band after he recorded Queen’s major hits for a project. He was told to duplicate Mercury’s sound as closely as possible, and he delivered more than 20 songs in the style of the late rock icon. That set him on his path to develop the tribute band.

Alaeddin’s vision was of a group that would sing the great Queen songs the way they were first performed. The Kings of Queen are different to other tribute bands in that they do not use tracks. Instead, they perform all the vocals live, in the moment.

The Kings of Queen will appear Sunday, September 10. People attending the performance may enjoy the buffet beforehand, from 2.30 pm until 3.45 pm. The show is at 4.00 pm, and organizers of such concerts can create publicity by using flyer printing to create handouts for the local area.
