Student night for future engineers

Students studying in the HVAC field have a special night coming up.

The ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Southern California Chapter is holding a Student Night for students planning to work in the industry.

The schedule for the evening is as follows: the Career Fair will be set up at 5.00 pm, with the fair itself, and a social hour, at 5.30 pm. Dinner and Announcements are scheduled for 6.30 pm, with the main program at 7.00 pm. A raffle and the adjournment are at 8.30 pm.

Companies will be on hand to talk about their operations, and students who hope to find employment or internships immediately after graduation will have a chance to speak with these organizations and provide their résumés.

Among the activities are student presentations, including one by students from California State University, Los Angeles (CSU LA) who are entering the ASHRAE Netty Foundation Design Competition, and are working on a net-zero energy concept for a building to be located in Cairo, Egypt.

Students in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) field are invited to attend at no charge, so the organizers are asking attendees to buy an additional seat if possible to support the chapter and the attending students. Organizers of events like this can benefit attendees by using flyer printing to create an agenda.

ASHRAE Student Night is Tuesday, May 2, at the Quiet Cannon Conference & Events Center on Via San Clemente in Montebello.
