Montebello is hosting a series of live concerts.
Montebello’s Concerts at the Park series began in June and is continuing, bringing exceptional artists to these family-friendly, free events, which are held in Montebello City Park. Although there are seats available, people are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs, make themselves comfortable, and dance if they like.
The bands next on the schedule are the Smooth Sounds of Santana, and No Duh. The Smooth Sounds, as their name suggests, is a tribute band for Santana. The original band was founded by Carlos Santana in San Francisco in 1967, and has sold over 100 million records worldwide. Smooth Sounds replicates the music of the original band note for note, playing material from beginning of their decades-long career until now, using the same types of instruments as Santana.
No Duh is a tribute band for No Doubt & Gwen Stefani and has been called one of the world’s best tribute bands. They mix the energy and experience of a live show with visuals, props, and styles of the original band’s videos, complete with humor and accurate costumes. No Duh is based in Orange County, which makes them a crowd favorite.
Smooth Sounds of Santana plays July 2, and No Duh appears July 9. Concerts start at 6.30 pm, and the city will let fans know when additional bands are scheduled. Organizers often find that using flyer printing to create handouts for local distribution is an economical way to advertise a show.
