Montebello races to celebrate
Montebello is planning a celebration that will stretch over three full days of community and culture.
The City of Montebello’s 2025 Heritage Festival is an event that will bring residents together to enjoy fun, food, live music, and a run. Some of the details are still being finalized, but the information about the run is already available.
The City of Montebello and Aztlan Athletics will host the Montebello Heritage Festival 5K/10K. The route will take runners along Whittier Boulevard.
There are four races scheduled: the 5K, 10K, the Kids 1K Run, and the Run4Paws (Love Your Pet Division), and they begin at Montebello City Park. Participants will be given a medal and a T-shirt. The first 700 runners to register will receive their medal and shirt that day, while people who register late will be able to pick up their prizes within two weeks.
Organizers have tips for runners’ safety. They suggest people start lining up no later 15 minutes before the race, with slower runners, as well as walkers and those with strollers behind those who expect to move more quickly. When the plan races like this, organizers can use banner printing to create course markers.
The festival is set for October 10 at 6.00 pm until October 12 at 10.00 pm at Montebello City Park, with the races on the 12th. The Beer Garden in the Park will open at 9.00 am. A DJ and vendors with coffee and tamales will be on site.
