Montebello concert features Latin music

An upcoming concert in Montebello brings Latin sounds to the city.

Artists performing at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello promise an evening of all kinds of music from Latin America. The artists on the schedule include Grupo Bryndis, Grupo Libra, Samuray, and Los Yonic’s.

Grupo Bryndis is from Mexico City, and is one of the most recognized and successful groups in Mexico, all of Latin America, and the United States. They have become known as “The Group that Sings to Love” because of their unique sound and approach to ballad and cumbia music. They began performing in 1983, and are still delighting fans today.

The Libra Group (Grupo Libra) emerged in 1990 in Sinaloa, Mexico, with the single “Una Lágrima” (“A Tear”), and made romantic ballads their hallmark. “Del Signo Libra” has become their signature song.

Samuray formed in 1989, and like most of the other groups, is celebrated for their romantic style.

Los Yonic’s first formed in 1975 in San Luis San Pedro, but relocated to Acapulco. They play both ballads and pop music, and have placed several albums in the #1 spot on the Billboard Regional Mexican charts.

These bands and others will appear at the event, which is scheduled for February 15 at 8.00 pm, at Quiet Cannon, 901 Via San Clemente. In order to publicize events like this, organizers will often turn to poster printing to help them create colorful advertisements.
