Montebello business event embraces its Hawaiian side

Residents of Montebello will soon have a chance to get to chat with and learn more about local businesses.

The Montebello Chamber of Commerce is once again presenting its Community Expo. Once called the Business Expo, the event is free and is held annually in the spring to give members of the public the chance to interact with local businesses. The merchants, for their part, often give away coupons, samples, free merchandise, and promotional materials. Sponsorships give participating companies major perks including a social media presence, marketing materials, and more. When community events such as this are scheduled, organizers will often work with printers to create colorful, exciting advertisements created using poster printing.

This year’s event has the theme “Aloha! It’s a Luau!”. Children from ages 3-12 will be eligible to play a game of Tiki Treasure Hunt, in which they will collect stickers to win a prize. Adults can look forward to live entertainment, which is still being planned. There will be demonstrations, giveaways, raffles, and more.

As a special opportunity for businesses, the exhibitor who is judged to have expressed the aloha theme best in their space will receive coverage on social media, in the “Spotlight on Montebello” newspaper, and a digital advertisement on the Chamber website.

The Community Expo 2024 is set for May 4, from 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm, at The Shops at Montebello.
