Back-to-back business events scheduled in Montebello
Small businesses have two events to look forward to in Montebello.
The SAME Los Angeles Post is holding the first-ever Small Business Industry Day event one day, and the next, the Los Angeles District SPL/USACE, which is the Army Corps of Engineers, is hosting another, both at the same venue.
SAME is the Society of American Military Engineers, which collaborates with other experts to support national security. The society was established in 1920, and has a solid history of bringing together the public and private sectors in fields such as project planning, architecture, and many other related fields that help support national security.
The upcoming event will bring together representatives from local, state, and federal agencies along with local businesses for a day of exhibitor booths, breakout sessions, and networking.
The following day, the Corps of Engineers will present its Business Opportunities Open House (BOOH), where attendees will enjoy a brief welcome, project presentations, and potential training. The main goal is to connect people with staff to build fruitful business relationships. In addition to numerous LA District offices, other participants will include the American Indian Chamber APEX Accelerator, the Small Business Administration, SAME, and more.
The SAME event is set for March 5 from 8.00 am until 7.00 pm, with the BOOH gathering on March 6, from 8.30 am until 1.00 pm. Both will take place at the Quiet Cannon. People attending meetings like these may want to take the opportunity to pick up business cards from vendors.
