Art show in Montebello

An art show featuring some of the most innovative artists in the area is coming to Montebello.

Mighty Muds ‘n’ Friends will feature creatives from East Los Angeles, including Walmart Weirdo, Ivan Mendez, Zombie One, and Mighty Muds.

Walmart Weirdo, a street graffiti artist in his teens, went on to join a graphic design company, and then began working as an art director for such companies as The Cut, Wunderman, and Fashion Nova. He is also a painter, currently creating works influenced by everything from cartoons to hip-hop.

Ivan Mendez is a tattoo artist from South Gate who came to the art of tattooing after working in other media. His styling is neo-Chicago, inspired by anime, folk art, and LA culture.

Zombie One, who is also from South Gate, is a painter who is now an apprentice with the Mindful Art Studio in downtown Los Angeles. He does skull artwork using black-and-white as his color choices.

Mighty Muds is a photographer and videographer from South Gate. He started his career as a photographer for his father and went on to freelance, filming videos for hip-hop artists, and traveling. He now has more than ten years’ experience in videography and photography, and prefers a documentary style.

The Mighty Muds ‘n’ Friends Art Show will be held on Friday, March 10, at 3015 West Beverly Boulevard in Montebello. Events like this can be publicized by organizers who use flyer printing to create handouts to distribute to potential attendees near the location.
