Long Beach to take on 5K
A charity 5K run will be held in Long Beach, California this April.
The proceeds from the run will benefit multiple local charities. This will be done through the work of the Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach. The track for the event will be the Acura Grand Prix racecourse. Each part of the race is divided according to the runner class.
The three divisions will be the Elite or Pro race, the race for the general public, and children, who will have the opportunity to run in the Turbo 5K. Those who qualify as Elite are those who can complete the race in under 25 minutes. Each race has a separate start time.
The race begins at Shoreline Drive, the official start location for the Grand Prix racetrack. Each runner will receive an official runner’s medal, the official Grand Prix T-shirt, and two complimentary Friday general admission to the Acura Grand Prix being held in Long Beach. There will be post-race refreshments and fun activities open to all participants. Adult registration will cost $40 per person, children will cost a total of $15.
