Drinks festival coming to Long Beach
A special event for connoisseurs of various beverages is on the way, enabling them to sample delicious products while raising money for good causes.
The 10th Taste of Brews Long Beach will bring selected hard ciders for attendees to sample, along with kombucha, seltzers, and craft beers by the dozen. Food trucks will also be on hand, allowing festival goers to enjoy a meal in a beautiful ocean-front location. Organizers of the festival point out that several of the products found at the event are not generally available at retailers.
Organizers also warn that not all brewers will promise to have beer available throughout the event, as it is likely some will sell out, especially nano- and micro-breweries, which do not can or bottle their beer. Among the brewers taking part are names like Bootlegger's Brewery and No Clue Brew.
The Taste of Brews is scheduled for August 22, from 12.00 pm until 5.00 pm, at Shoreline Aquatic Park, which is also called Lighthouse Park. Service of alcoholic beverages will end at 4.00 pm. Included with the ticket is drinking water, beer tasting, and live entertainment. The three-hour session is $30 and runs from 1.00 pm until 4.00 pm, while the four-hour session is $40, and runs from 12.00 pm until 4.00 pm. All proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish OC & IE, and the Long Beach Marine Institute. Flyer printing can provide handouts to attendees of events like this, identifying vendors.
