Doug Chaffee, the Orange County Fourth District Supervisor Vice Chairman, revealed the recipients of the 6th Annual Fourth District Kindness Awards at a ceremony earlier this month, with Fullerton represented.
Dr. Jose Moreno, a former member of the District 3 Anaheim City Council, served as the program's emcee at the event hosted by the Elher's Event Center. Printing services can be used to put together prizes and awards on such occasions.
During the event, Vice Chairman Chaffee recognized honorees of the Kindness Award from each of the Fourth District’s cities who have made large positive contributions to their communities through the use of empathy. He also paid homage to former Mayor Tom Tait’s aspiration to see a kinder region. The event is held annually on World Kindness Day, which is November 13. Dylan Wang was the honoree from Fullerton.
Vice Chairman Chaffee commented on the importance of acknowledging kindness and recognising those who inspire it in others, noting that the honorees at the event have gone above and beyond in their efforts.
Community members originally nominated the honorees representing the cities in the Fourth District. Prominent judges then separately scored the applicants. The applicant who received the highest point score in each of the Fourth District's cities was chosen to be an honoree once the judges had graded the applications.
