Fullerton hosts Night of the Dead festival

The Noche de Muertos Festival is coming to downtown Fullerton this fall.

As part of the day-long Dia de los Muertos celebration, the Noche de Festival specifically kicks off in the afternoon and runs until the evening. It is sponsored by the Fullerton Museum Center.

As a family-friendly event, the overall theme is one of remembrance, for both traditions and ancestors, and remaining connected with the community.

Though the event is free for the public, there is fee to pay for people signing up to be a vendor. What’s more, vendor space is limited and there is no guarantee being accepted, though it is more likely if people apply early.

The vendors are required to display their items in an organized manner and not to obstruct any sidewalks. There are a variety of vendor types, including those that sell food, hand-made goods or provide information or services. The vendors will be set up on either Wilshire Avenue or within the Downtown Fullerton Plaza itself, just outside the Fullerton Museum Center.

Live music, pop-up artist workshops, car and community altars, food trucks and a beer garden will all be part of the festivities.
