Fullerton celebrates dogs with Pup-toberfest

Pup-toberfest is coming to Fullerton’s Hunt Branch Library to celebrate all things dog-related this October.

It’ll be a veritable best in show-style event, only on the local level and in a more casual atmosphere. Like those higher-level dog shows, there will be dog races and even dog runway shows. However, it doesn’t have the usual grooming or dog trick categories of those larger competitions.

There is a lot in store in terms of amenities aimed at pet owners. For instance, children’s activities, live music and a beer garden for those 21 and older are all part of the festivities.

The event is welcome to all. However, for those who wish to submit their dog into a race, there is a registration fee of $10 for each dog.

The race categories are also broken down into breed sizes, from small to large. In addition, there are also novelty categories just for fun, inclusive to any and all breeds, such as a puppy race for dogs under one year old and dogs in costumes.

Costumes are also a focus of the dog runway show, with award categories including Best Dressed, Best Owner, Funniest and Dog Duo.

Festivals like this may choose to use Logo Design services for creating dog-related social media posts, Posters in pet stores or other Forms of promotion.

Pup-toberfest is happening on October 11 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Hunt Branch Library at 201 S Basque in Fullerton.
