Fullerton art exhibit highlights legendary actress

The art and personal journey of actress Natalie Wood will be examined in a new exhibit at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center beginning this spring.

The actress had a passion for art, gaining a collection of works from the likes of Henry Jaglom, Margaret Keane, Don Barchardly, and herself, all of which will be on display.

Wood was nominated for an Academy Award for acting three times throughout her career. Some of the personal items owned by her will also be on display, giving a rare look into the inner world of one of the most iconic film actresses of her generation.

The exhibit was curated by Annabella Pritchard, Adam R. England, and Jamie Hiber, and runs for several months throughout the summer. However, there is also a one-night-only event in late May that exclusively features some of Wood’s most iconic film costumes.

Art exhibits like this may choose to use printing services to create labels for artwork and vendor Signs.

More Than Love: the Life and Art of Natalie Wood will be on display from May 14 to August 2 in the main gallery of The Muckenthaler Cultural Center at 1201 W. Malvern Ave in Fullerton. In addition, the Conversation with the Curator event featuring a showcase of Natalie Wood’s most well-known costumes from the Warner Bros. Archives will be on Wednesday, May 27 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
