U.S. Open awaits in Southern California

The third USGA U.S. Open will take place this summer at Torrey Pines, just a short drive from Escondido. USGA partners include Cisco, American Express, Lexus, Deloitte, Sentry, and Rolex.

Torrey Pines has a rich history in hosting professional golf tournaments. Legendary golfer Tiger Woods has played in dramatic circumstances at the course, including in the 2008 U.S. Open with a leg injury. He won his 14th major championship and his third U.S. Open title at this course.

While the event will be telecast, organizers are working with local health officials and agencies in determining if spectators will be allowed to attend. A decision is expected by the end of April. If fans are allowed to attend, all guidelines set forth by relevant health authorities and jurisdiction authorities will be followed for the safety of everyone involved.

Volunteers have been notified as to their status for this event. If the communication has not been received, volunteers may contact 2021usopen@usga.org.

Brochures are often used to promote sporting events. Brochure printing can include images of the venues and players as well as information about the event. If events are virtual, the brochures can include the date, time and television network where the event will be broadcast.

The U.S. Open will take place on June 17-20 at Torrey Pines. Information will be updated as possible on the event website.
