Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park will present an opportunity for residents, as well as those from surrounding regions like Escondido, to view thousands of beautiful butterflies this spring.
The highly anticipated event is presented by Wheelhouse Credit Union and is viewed as an annual celebration. Over 30 live species coming from North, Central, and South America will be at the zoo display. The Zebra longwings along with the orange-barred tiger and giant swallow tails present amazing photo moments. Along with the butterflies, there will be over 20 exotic bird species such as the Mariana fruit dove and the Bali Myna.
Guests at the Butterfly Jungle are allowed to walk through the area among the butterflies and take photos as they wish. They should move slowly, and are advised that wearing bright colours attracts the insects. Butterflies are known to land on guests so everyone should understand they are delicate creatures, and care for their wellbeing should be exercised.
