Rotary to host barbeque event next month

The Escondido East Rotary Club has extended an invitation to all area residents to attend its 16th annual Military Appreciation BBQ.

Those who come out will have a chance to enjoy an assortment of meats and other items cooked on an old-style deep-pit barbeque, ensuring plenty of food and fun for all.

The money raised through the event will go towards helping to support both community-based and international projects, including Operation Clear Visio, STEP, Model UN, Mission Middle School, Adopt A Family, Angel’s Depot, and Thanksgiving Day meals for area seniors.

According to the Escondido East Rotary Club website, all donations will be greatly appreciated. Brochure printers can produce pamphlets which provide more information about a particular organization and how it puts donated funds to use. These can be distributed to the public during functions such as this.

The barbeque will take place on May 7th in the El Arryoyo picnic Area located at 3333 Bear Valley Parkway and will run between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The activity is open to all, whether or not they are members of the Rotary Club. Those who are interested in taking part, or who would like to make a monetary donation to the club’s charitable efforts, can find out more by visiting the 16th annual Military Appreciation BBQ website.
