An event people have enjoyed for almost 30 years is returning to Escondido.
The Escondido Street Festival takes place quite literally on the street – Grand Avenue to be precise, between Juniper Street and Escondido Boulevard, in the city’s downtown. The street is blocked off and filled with vendors’ booths for an entire day. The Escondido Downtown Business Association is hosting the event.
In addition to the vendors, this year’s party has new additions. They are a Beer & Wine Garden, live music, and Art in the Garden.
The vendors will include those offering accessories and clothing for pets, toys, home décor, teas, clothing, glassware, candles, soap, and handmade jewelry.
Those who will have foodstuffs for sale will provide items such as cakes, ice cream, coffee, kettle corn, and gourmet desserts. Cuisines represented will be American, curries, Filipino, Thai, Southern, Mexican, BBQ, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
Live music will feature performances by The Atomic 44’s, a blues band; the indie rock outfit 4 Dudes, That’s It?; Blues rock songwriter/singer and guitarist Artur Menezes; and The Sleepwalkers, who won the title of “Best Americana Band” in 2020. Other groups are already on the schedule, with more on the way.
The Escondido Street Festival is set for May 22, from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. When organizers plan events like this, they can use flyer printing to create handouts for attendees, listing vendors, performers, and booths.
