A plan has been submitted to the Escondido planners to construct 270 homes on the former site of the Escondido Country Club golf course.
The previous plan had been to build 430, but this number has been reduced, and the lots will each be 7,000 square feet. The new proposal includes 31 acres of open green spaces, with both horizontal and vertical buffers between the new development and homes that already exist in nearby neighborhood.
The homes will be single family dwellings, and there will also be a clubhouse with a swimming pool, multipurpose room, spa, dining area for private functions, gym, and indoor racquet court. It would be run by the community’s homeowners association, but there is potential that neighbors could become members as well. Should the plan go ahead, a Stationery printing company will be able to provide all the printed materials that the clubhouse may need, such as business and membership cards, as well as name tags for staff.
According to one of the developers, Ali Shapouri, considering the recent drought that has hit the area and changing economic times, retaining a golf course is not a sensible option.
The president of the Escondido Country Club Homeowner’s Association remarked that he and others will be taking time to review the application, and that the group had been expecting it.Get a Free Quote for Stationery
