A concert series in Escondido is continuing to bring music to the city this summer.
Live at The Centre is a collaborative effort by the Six String Society, Vintana Wine + Dine, and The Centre Escondido, who have teamed up to bring extraordinary talent to the city. The next concert on the schedule features three local groups that are sure to please.
The headliner is Kimmi Bitter & the West Side Twang. Bitter is an up-and-coming country artist with a love of the fashion and the sounds of the 1960s, one of the most tumultuous decades in history, and one with some of the best music ever. The group has released an album, “Old School,” that pays tribute to those years. Bitter’s trademark is a pair of knee-high white boots that bring Nancy Sinatra, one of her influences, to mind.
Also on the program is MohaviSoul, a bluegrass band that won the San Diego Music Award in 2024, as well as blues and rock courtesy of Mr. Reagan “Guitar” Williams, who is based in Oceanside.
The concert is August 1 on the Moonlight Veranda, which is on the third floor of The Centre, located on Auto Park Way. The performance begins at 5.30 pm, and attendees will have gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Admission is $10 before the date, or $15 at the door. Using poster printing, organizers of events like this are able to successfully publicize them.
