Holiday fun in Escondido

The holidays are on the way and Escondido has a special day planned to help celebrate them.

The Escondido Holiday Festival begins immediately following the Jaycees Christmas Parade. The Parade will lead everyone to Grape Day Park in the heart of the city, for the festival. The park will become a winter wonderland, bringing community members together. Everyone, residents and visitors alike, is welcome to attend, and the event is free.

A wide variety of entertainment is planned, so there will be something for everyone, including live performances from different countries, and music that will get people up on their feet and dancing. There will be hands-on demonstrations, games, and vendors with unique, hand-crafted items, including holiday decorations, to give people a chance to get some of their holiday shopping done. Food vendors will also be available to satisfy hungry festivalgoers with a variety of delicious treats from many different cultures.

The highlight of the event is the presence of the VIP of the holidays, Santa Claus. He will be on hand to hear what children want for Christmas, and will be handing out toys to the littlest attendees. Those who are too shy to meet him in person will have a chance to write him a letter.

The festival is set to take place from 11.00am until 5.00pm on December 9. When outdoor events like this are planned, organizers can use banner printing to create holiday decorations.
