The Escondido Chocolate Festival is coming back to town soon.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, participants can revel in chocolate and other festivities. The event is sponsored by the Escondido Downtown Business Association.
The event will take place in downtown Escondido along Grand Avenue. Over 20 restaurants, shops and stores will present the opportunity to takes various chocolate treats and will be paired with wine or craft beers.
A horse-drawn carriage will add to the romance of the holiday with a ride through the Historic Grand Avenue. A pedi-cab will also be available. It so happens the 2nd Saturday Arts and Culture event is taking place at the same time. An abundance of activities will be part of the fun.
Often, candy is given out at Valentine’s Day or tasting events. The candy Boxes can have a Logo Design printed on them – usually that of sponsors or organizers of groups.
Free long-stemmed roses will be given out, and a raffle will be held for prizes. Chocolate making classes, barbershop quartet singers, glass blowing demonstrations, and other activities are on the agenda, as well.
The merchants typically offer specials and discounts during the festival. The 2022 Escondido Chocolate Festival will take place on Saturday, February 12. Tickets may be purchased online. For more information, call the Escondido Downtown Business Association at 760-207-6321.
