Healthcare professionals, first responders and community members alike who are interested in providing supportive environment for those affected by severe mental illness will soon be offered an opportunity to earn about how they can do so.
The In-Home Outreach Team (IHOT) North team has planned ‘The Challenge of Engaging-Providing Hope’, which will be a day of learning about how to support and engage those suffering from severe mental health issues and who may be reluctant to seek help. An assortment of expert speakers will address the attendees, and there will also be time for networking and sharing ideas and best practices.
First responders, mental health advocates, educators, treatment providers, and others with experience in the field will all be coming together to address the topic, and there will be a focus on building an ongoing network of support. Both families of those living with mental health issues and the community as a whole are welcome to take part, and lunch will be served.
There is no registration fee to take part in the day, but spaces are limited. Presentation Folders and other materials for an event like this can be provided by a printing services company.
This summit which will address the challenges and success in the field of mental health will be taking place in the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, and it has been planned for May 24. More information is available through its online listing.
