It is time to say “Hello, Matey” in Escondido as the city welcomes back the Renaissance Fantasy Faire with a Pirate Flair this fall over two weekends.
The event will be held at the Felicita Park and will be filled with participants in costume, vendors, a range of authentic food styles, entertainment, and of course, ale. The organizer, Olde Tyme Productions, Inc., has set a goal to provide education along with entertainment for the guests as they learn about the Elizabethan Era. Activities include field battles, pub parties, shows, and the special production called WorldJoust: Tournament of Horse.
Vendors will be scattered throughout the area and will offer period crafts and clothing, accessories, gifts, and other unique items. Banners are often used by vendors to highlight their booths with the name of the business, taglines and special offerings. Local Print shops can design the banner printing to meet any specifications needed.
Other activities on the agenda include a kids’ zone, archery tournament, and pageants. King Richard’s Tavern adds to the recreation of the historical era.
The Escondido Renaissance Fantasy Faire with a Pirate Flair will take place October 30 and 31, and again on November 6 and 7. The park is located at 742 Clarence Lane. Tickets may be purchased online and range from $12.00 to $40.00. For more information, visit the event website or call 805-665-0359.
