Escondido Rotary honors commitment to community

The Escondido Rotary Club will recognize a couple that has gone above and beyond when it comes to community and philanthropy.

Keith and Charito Richenbacher will be the guests of honor at the Rotary Club's annual Coeur de Cuisine gala, where this year's theme is “Celebration of Service”. The gourmet event features top chefs and wineries and is the club's major fundraiser.

The Richenbachers have been active in local community work for many years after discovering Rotary in their former home of Australia. Charito is still active in World Vision Australia which helps children all around the world. In California, she is active with seniors.

Keith joined the Rotary Club of Escondido in 2008 and become president in 2014, and then District Assistant Governor. He has a number of businesses in Escondido and volunteers with many Rotary events. His main passion is the San Pasqual Academy, a residential middle school for young adults and foster children.

The Coeur de Cuisine will feature food and beverages from 40 local businesses. The event also announces grants and donations to scholarships and community charitable organizations. Menus, signage, and programs for events such as these can be professionally created and printed at local Print shops.

The Escondido Rotary Club's 2020 Coeur de Cuisine gourmet gala will be held Sunday, March 15 at 5:00 pm in the Main Ballroom of the California Center for the Arts, 340 N Escondido Blvd.
