Escondido preparing warm wishes for Americas birthday

Escondido will be celebrating the nation’s birthday with a bang, and everyone is invited to come to its 5th annual Independence Day Festival and Fireworks.

The free event, which is open to people of all ages, will include activities, music and lots to see and do. A special VP option will be on offer for those who wish to make the most of the experience.

It is expected that the occasion will draw an upwards of 55,000 people, and there will be live music, games and activities for the kids and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will give a special performance. The evening will be crowned by a huge fireworks display starting at 9:00 pm.

A VIP area will be set up, and the entry fee to this will be $5 each. Those who purchase a pass for this will receive access to private restrooms and seating complete with air conditioning. There will also be giant games and a beer tasting experience for those who are age 21 or over.

Those who come to event are asked to bring along a donation to the San Diego Food Bank, as these will be distributed to those in need in the community. Banner printing for an occasion like this can be provided by local printers.

This salute to the USA has been planned for Grape Day Park and The Center’s Great Green on July 4. More details, including a list of items most needed by the Food Bank, can be found on the Visit Escondido website.
