Emergencies can happen just about anywhere, and those who take part in an Escondido training opportunity being offered by the Red Cross will know what to do should one occur when they are far away from professional help.
The 16 hours of training will equip those who take part with knowledge and practical skills they can draw upon in remote urban, rural, and wilderness conditions. All who are interested will be asked to show proof that they currently hold a valid CPR/AED, and this will be verified before they are permitted to participate.
The instruction provided will cover a variety of topics and will include both time in the classroom and hands-on training. The class is scheduled to be run over a span of two days, and each student will be required to attend all of the classes to be certified. The Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid certification that will be given to those who successfully complete the course will remain valid for two years.
A registration fee of $155 per person is being charged to be a part of this event. Area Print shops can supply manuals and other materials for this sort of learning opportunity.
Anyone who is interested in being a part of this course may wish to save room in their Calendars on September 29 and 30, as they are the dates when it will be held. It will be taking place at 1800 North Broadway in Escondido.
