The Escondido area is home to a wide assortment of companies in the manufacturing sector, and an event that will be taking place this October they will offer local kids a chance to explore them all.
This free activity, which is intended for children and young adults from grades kindergarten to 12, will include displays set up by up to 35 manufactures from North County. While the browse through them, the guest will be able to discover more about their community’s industrial base as well as its history and plans for the future.
The organizers of the San Diego North County Manufacturing Day noted that everything from value added food products to biomedical devices and even kayaks are crafted locally, and many of the businesses that will be participating will have a representative at the expo. They can share details about their company as well as answer questions and hand out samples. Promotional Pens and other swag for this type of community-based function can be produced by a Print shop to distribute to those who come out.
The planners are currently accepting applications from any business that would like to be included in this morning of learning. There is no charge to do so, and further details about this can be obtained by contacting ebruvold@sdnedc.
The California State University San Marcos’s University Student Union Ballroom will be the location for this event, and it will be held on October 3. The doors will open at 7:00 am.
